Message From The Race Director
The mountains look great with a solid snow-pack for the Yeti 2005 winter season. I was out snowshoeing the other day and it was a pleasant reminder of why I got into this great activity. The trail was in awesome shape as I breathed in the fresh air with the sun on my face.
I hope everyone has been taking advantage of the great conditions.
I also wanted to thank everyone that came out to our first Demo Night, it was a huge success! We had over 120 people trying snowshoe running out for the first time. Here are a couple of pics from Demo Night.
Thursday Jan 6 is our first Drop In Group Run. This 1 hour session will commence every Thursday night starting at 7pm sharp with the final workout of the season scheduled for Thursday March 31. After your workout why not visit Seymour's Pub for a little après snowshoe, talk with friends over some great food and a nice cold Sleeman's. So come up and have a great time with everyone snowshoeing on Mount Seymour.
Registration is looking great for the start of the 2005 Yeti race season! I want to thank all of you that have pre-registered. This not only helps us stay more organized but it also saves you money and gives you the chance to win some great prizes! Speaking of prizes, we have brought on some amazing new sponsors that are contributing some fantastic prizinig for 2005! Helly Hansen - Lifa tops, Lifa bottoms, lifa beanies, long sleeves, hoodies, toques, Atlas snowshoes and poles, Sole custom foot beds, Garmin Forerunner from Deakin Equipment, Ryders sunglasses, Soup from Campbell's, Black Diamond head lamps, coffee from Kicking Horse and Beer from Sleeman. Phew, and that's just a sample.
