Hey Snowshoers!
Welcome to this "postcard" edition of the Yeti SnowTimes!
I would like to thank everyone that came out to the Yeti at Whistler's Lost Lake. We had a lot of racers out on this new course on a beautiful blue bird day. Pictures will be uploaded shortly so check back to the website. Results for Whistler are also posted on the web so go check out your race time. We are now getting ready for this weekends race at Mount Seymour. This is an awesome course that a lot of you have run either at last years race or during one of our drop in sessions on either Tuesday or Thursday nights. This course has it all, single track, cat tracks, hills, views at the top of Dinky Peak and it looks like we're going to get some fresh snow this week! The forecast is calling for another nice sunny day so make sure you have your Ryders sunglasses on.
Do you want to pre-run the course?
Come on up to Mount Seymour for a Thursday Night group run and pre-run the Yeti course. We are also offering one last chance to sign up for the Early Bird price of $25 at this Thursday's drop in night at Seymour. You can also download a Mount Seymour course map (PDF - 255 KB).
Day of Registration
We will be doing sign in and day of registration in the Brown Bag room located in the downstairs of the cafeteria. We will have signage outside so park your car and follow the directions where to go. We will be holding the start of the race in the far North end of the upper parking lot. Once you sign in we will tell you where you need to go.
Awards and Prizing
We will be holding our awards ceremony and prizing at Seymour's Pub right off highway #1. Once you're finished your race you can either stick around Mount Seymour to cheer people on or go down to Seymour's Pub a little early to grab a bite to eat. Once I arrive to Seymour's Pub I will distribute the FREE Sleeman beer tickets so you can all enjoy a post race beer on us. We have a ton of great prizes to give away which of course includes a pair of Atlas Dual Tracs. Don't miss out on the awards and prizing because as all of you know, you have to be there to win!
Kids Race
We will be holding our Kids Race at 9:45, right before the adult race starts at 10am. Entry is free for children under 10 with paid adult entry. Each racer receives a race number, a pair of snowshoes to use for the race, and a picture with the Yeti. Each participant must register on race day morning and a parent/guardian must sign a waiver.

Timing error
We would like to recognize Rob Fransen as 3rd place in the Masters category for the Whistler race. We had a bit of a mix up with a couple of times but we have sorted it all out and wanted to make it right. Thanks Rob for being patient with this.
