Message From The Race Director
Now that the Yeti is half over people have had a good taste of what to expect for the rest of the series - great venues, great courses, great people and great prizes! Pictured to the right is the start of the Mount Seymour race.
Next race is in beautiful Sun Peaks, three mountains, one village. Don't forget to book your hotel rooms at the Heffley Inn. They are filling up fast so give them a call and let them know that you are with the Yeti for a discounted rate. For more information on the Heffley Inn click here.
Don't forget about the Ultimate Snowshoers Grand Prize. The more races that you sign up for the more chances you have to win. This Ultimate Snowshoers Grand prize will be drawn in Whistler at the end of awards and prizing and you have to be there to win! For more information on the Ultimate Snowshoers Grand Prize and to see what last years winner won, click here.
Teams
Mount Seymour had a great turnout for teams with the return of Team RecGroup, Club Smart Ass and the newcomers to the field the Yaletown Yups.
Team RecGroup (pictured at right) took the day with their combined time of 1:09:33 only 200 seconds faster than Club Smart Ass, way to go racers!
To find out more on how to participate as a team click here.
Teams expected to participate at Sun Peaks are team Atlas, Club Smart Ass, Runners Sole, team MOMAR and team Baggios. Good luck to all of you!
Volunteers
I would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that has volunteered their time and energy to make the Yeti a great event this season. There is no way that we could do it without all of you. Thank you so much.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing everyone on the snow!
