Hi Snowshoers!
I can't believe that we are at the end of the series already, time sure is flying this year. We have had an incredible winter with lots of snow at all the races and clinics and I want to thank everyone that has taken part. We have a lot to cover in this newsletter so read on and if you have any questions after this please send them to marc@theyeti.ca.

Series Points
Click HERE to see who is in the running to be the overall Yeti Champion in their Category. Right now it looks like Andrew Clarke is in line to take the title again for the Men’s Open but we can’t rule out young Shaun Stevens-Whale to take the overall fastest time even though he’s in the junior category. Here are some highlights for the series points. We have a 2 way tie for 1st place in the Woman’s Open between Krista Royle and Carey Sather, Sally Marcellus leads the Woman’s 50+ and a 2 way tie for 2nd between Betty Wiens and Louisa Lormier and finally the biggest tie goes to the Mens open with a 4 way tie for 2nd behind Andrew Clarke starting with Dave Cressman, Andreas Hestler, Justin Mark and Nate Wood. Good luck to everyone who competing for their position!
Cypress Course Map
If you haven't checked out the course map you can do so by clicking here. This is an awesome course with some great views, powder sections and lots of single track.
Darn Tough Athlete of the Year
This year we want to recognize someone that has stood out from the rest, we want to acknowledge that they have grown as an athlete in snowshoe running. If you know of someone that would be fitting for this award we want to know. This person will win 6 different types of Darn Tough socks along with a H/H light-weight jacket. Please submit your nominations to marc@theyeti.ca or you can submit their name at the Cypress event. We won't know whether this will be a man or a woman and what size they are until after this Cypress race so we will make the presentation of the prizing after the event and announce in the next post race newsletter.
Revised Results
I want to apologize for not congratulating some people that should have been acknowledged and weren't. Congratulations to our top 3 Woman's 6km 50+ - in 3rd place, Jill Sutcliffe, in 2nd place, Betty Wiens and in 1st place for the 6km course is Barb Hilier. We really try our hardest to get the results right but sometimes things go wrong. Speaking of that we have a couple other to mention as well. We had someone that did not finish the 9k and it threw things off a bit so we would also like to congratulate the real top 3 in the Men's 9km 40+ in 3rd place Ean Jackson, in 2nd place Rob Fransen and in 1st place Vladamir Ispolatov. And last but not least our top three for the Women's 6km 40+ in 3rd place Barb Crone, in 2nd place Pat Love and in 1st place Donna Palulak. Sorry again for the mix up and congratulations to all that got bumped into better positions!
