Message From The Race Director

Hello Yeti Snowshoer's!
I hope that everyone has had a great summer and kept up their training by doing races like 5 Peaks and the GutBuster on the island. We have a great schedule lined up with one new addition, Cougar Mountain. A lot of you might be saying, where's Cougar Mountain? Cougar Mountain is about 7 minutes past Whistler village. You will get a chance to run through an ancient cedar forest and come across some amazing views. There also might be a surprise at the end of the race for those who what to take part, stay tuned for that news to come in the next newsletter.

Winter is almost here and so is the 2007 season of the Yeti Snowshoe Series. We have started to receive snow on all the local mountains just in time for the annual Demo Night. For those of you that don't know what our Demo Night is all about see below. We've got a lot of great news to tell so read below. Click here to check out the race schedule.

Darn Tough socks for the first 50 people to pre-register online

If you don't know what Darn Tough socks are you have to visit their website and find out more about them. Darn Tough has donated their great socks so that the first 50 people to pre-register online for each race will receive a pair. These are hands down the best socks I have ever had in my life! If you go through socks then you need to try these, you won't go through them…they guarantee it.

This year we will also be introducing the "Darn Tough Athlete of the Year" This will be set up shortly and you will be able to vote for who you think is an outstanding athlete. Whether they are beginners or veteran athletes you will get to decide. The winner will be highlighted on theyeti.ca and win a Helly Hansen jacket with the Yeti and the Darn Tough athlete of the year logo and of course lots of socks. Will it be you?
