Team Yeti Canada-A Natural Extension of the Fastest Growing Winter Sport
As if the fastest growing winter sport in Canada wasn't exciting enough, a new team has merged to help expand the sport and show people that you can combine fun, competition and one of the best fitness challenges around. Team Yeti Canada, BC's new snowshoe racing team plans on helping evolve this sport in Canada into something that is no longer a fringe winter activity. The team is the brainchild of Marc Campbell (formerly Cooney), Yeti Snowshoe Series Race Director, hopes it will raise the profile of the sport locally and also put Canada on the map for snowshoe racing across North America. "With so many great ambassadors of snowshoeing and other competitive sports in B.C, it only made sense to bring some of these athletes together and really show people how fun and exciting this sport is" Campbell says.

    Written by Denis Fontaine

Don't get me wrong, going for a snow shoe on a wicked day and tipping a few pints with some key friends is REALLY what it's all about, but staying warm and dry makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

Whether you are about to partake in a fast paced 10 k snowshoe race or merely trek along and enjoy the scenery, one thing will should remain the same... keep your core dry with a proper base layer... Click here for the full article.
